The Foundry – NovaGen’s Industrial Fortress
Occupying nearly a third of The Tides, the Foundry is a towering industrial complex, a sealed-off corporate stronghold where Neo-Boston’s energy and cybernetic industries converge. Owned and operated by NovaGen Energy, the Foundry is both a power station and a technological research facility, controlling the city’s Aurorium refinement, deep-sea mining, and industrial cybernetic production.
Unlike the decaying wasteland beyond its walls, the Foundry is alive, filled with the relentless hum of machines, the glow of processing towers, and the ever-present haze of synthetic gases.
- Tightly controlled, heavily monitored – The Foundry’s workforce consists of corporate employees, cybernetically-augmented laborers, and controlled AI drones. Unauthorized personnel are not welcome.
- Deep-Sea Drilling & The Orichalcum Mystery – NovaGen’s excavations into the ocean floor have uncovered something beyond Aurorium, an unidentified metal with unusual properties. This material, Orichalcum, is resistant to the Mist, bending reality in unpredictable ways.
- Security Above All – The Foundry’s research is too valuable, its operations too critical, for NovaGen to risk exposure. Every inch is under surveillance, patrolled by elite corporate enforcers and locked behind layers of security clearances.
While NovaGen publicly denies any connection to the Sunken City, rumors persist that their deep-sea mining operations have breached something that should have remained lost.
