Eione {polis}
In a valley of daunting seamounts lies a small clearing, which is home to the grand polis of Eione. The city-state is comprised of sprawling domed structures, interconnected by arches and bridges adorned with seaweed and coral sculptures. The city's architecture blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings, with vibrant coral gardens and schools of colorful fish swimming through the winding streets. This large and magnificent city lies a mile below the ocean's surface, and is home to the royal Leventis family. It is a magnificent city full of religion, nobility, and art.
This city was once nothing more than Traxian training grounds, and home to the famed Arabel and Finlay Leventis. They liberated the city after slaying Trax's emperor, Agnomahkos, and turned it into the city of Eione. It is the second oldest nation to be built outside of archon rule, and pride's itself for it's grand history and religious importance.

Current Rulers
For as long as Eione has been around, it has been ruled by the royal Leventis family. It was established by the late King Finlay, and after his death it was passed down to his son, King Calyx. The royal family lives in the Desma Castle, an old Traxian fortress named after the late Desma Levenits. Desma was Arabel and Finlay's mother, who met an untimely fate during the Age of Trax. King Calyx is a quiet yet and strong leader. He possesses a magnetic presence and a thirst for order. Many are eager to see King Calyx live up to his father's legacy, while other's are weary. King Calyx rules alongside his wife, Queen Cassia. She complements her husband's brute strength with her sharp intellect and diplomatic finesse. Queen Cassia possesses a keen understanding of the political landscape and excels in negotiation and diplomacy. Her wisdom and pragmatic approach to governance make her a trusted partner to the king, as well as a respected figure among the city's residents. Together Calyx and Cassia have a two children, Princess Leora and Prince Zale. Seeing as Princess Leora is the eldest, she plans to take the throne after her parents' passing.Notable Locations
Azure Archive
The Azure Archive is a district dedicated to knowledge and learning. It houses a vast library and archives filled with ancient texts, historical records, and valuable tomes. Scholars, scribes, and researchers from far and wide come to delve into the depths of knowledge and unravel the secrets of the sea. Schools and medical wards can also be found here. The Exalted Court. The Exalted Court serves as both a court building and a place of worship for the followers of Ephara. Although the King and Queen create laws, it is officially done here. They often seek the members of court here for guidance and advice, and the court is also left to decide more trivial matters. Those convicted of petty crime are brought to justice by the court, while people of greater concern are passed judgement by the King and/or Queen. The temple's marbled design reflects the blend of elegance and practicality. It is adorned with shimmering mosaics depicting scenes of justice, wisdom, and order, while the interior is spacious, with high ceilings and grand archways.Highwaters
The Highwaters is the highest district, comprised of many towering buildings, although none as tall as what lies at the heart of it all: the Desma Castle. The royal family, as well as nobles, and esteemed guest, reside in this part of Eione. This means it is under the watchful gaze of both the royal and city guard constantly. Desma Castle. At the heart of Eione stands the grand, towering Desma Castle, which can be seen from miles away. This caslte is home to the Royal Leventis family, and was named after the mother of the two leventis heroes. The castle is as lavish as it is fortified. It is surrounded by battlements, guards, magic barriers, and King Calyx's very own sea serpent. For as long as Eione has stood, very few have dared to infiltrate the building, and less have actually suceeded. As guarded as the castle is, it is also home to many celebrations and balls. The Desma Castle is a spectacle that impresses plenty, and even more wish to see for themselves some day.Pearl Plaza
This bustling district serves as the city's central marketplace, where merchants from all corners of the underwater world gather to trade their wares. Colorful stalls and shops line the streets, offering a wide array of exquisite treasures, rare artifacts, and unique sea-inspired crafts.Siren's Song
This district was specially built for artists to live and work. The Siren's Song is renowned for its vibrant music and performing arts scene. Theatres, concert halls, and taverns fill the streets, offering enchanting performances by talented musicians, singers, and dancers. There's also plenty of art galleries and artisan guilds that can be found throughout the district. Flamehand Foundry. Flamehand Foundry is the underwater headquarters for the Flamehand Guild, a guild for all sorts of artisans. Although it mostly consist of blacksmiths and metalworkers, they also provide work and materials to all sorts of artists. The Foundry is a grand building constructed of sturdy stone and adorned with intricate metalwork. The central feature of the headquarters is a massive forge, constantly ablaze with the divine fire of Purphuros, serving as a focal point for the guild's activities. Melody's Respite. This sophisticated and opulent tavern is known for its refined atmosphere and exquisite performances. The interior is adorned with marble pillars, crystal chandeliers, and lush velvet drapes. Talented bards grace the stage, captivating the audience with their virtuoso skills and enchanting melodies. Rooms and food are on the pricier side, but everything is provided with passion and care. This includes the wonderfully made food, entertainment of local bards, and room service. It is a local favorite of the richer and noble folk.Tidal Terrance
Situated along the southern edge of the coral reef, the Tidal Terrace offers breathtaking views of the surrounding ocean. It is a serene and tranquil district, where residents can relax, meditate, or simply enjoy the beauty of their underwater realm. Many everyday people live here.History
Birth of Heros (5 BKD). Eione was once nothing more than Traxian territory, just as most of Aeziron was. The sea elves living here were treated cruelly, and were often forced to join Agnomahkos' army. Arabel and Finlay Leventis, two siblings subjugated to Archon's mistreatment, would soon decide to take matters into their own hands. With the guidance and blessing of Ephara, they rallied other sea elves. They managed to seek out and kill Agnomahkos, which would result in the end of Traxian rule in all of Aeziron. Birth of the Polis (1 AKD). With no more archons to deal with, the siblings established the first nation and polis, known as Eione. With the further help of Ephara, laws and cities were established. Finlay stayed in the polis, becoming Eione’s first king. Arabel would spend her time establishing schools across the kingdom. The Eionian War (305-308 AKD). Arethusa's sudden resurgence in 304 AKD brought paranoia and fear among the sea elves, some of which were still alive during the Archon's reign. After a few failed attempts to talk, King Finlay demanded war. In the end this war would cost them many soliders, as well as the rebellion of Galene and their neighboring isles. When Arabel mysteriously dissapeared, it left Finlay distraught, and he finally decided to end the war. A New King (592 AKD). Finlay eventually died of old age, leaving the kingdoms in the hands of his son, King Calyx. Calyx has ruled the prospering polis ever since alongside his wife, Queen Cassia. A Queen's Curse (620 AKD). Just a couple of months ago, King Calyx announced a curse that overtook with wife. The beloved Queen Cassia has fallen ill, and has been asleep for half a year. He's callen on knights and adventurers to find him a cure, promising grand rewards to whoever is succesful.General Information
