Laki

At the shore of lake Miroon lies a beautiful town called Laki. An idyllic place and a true masterpiece of nature. Fresh mountain water from the snow-covered tops all runs in the streams and brooks towards this lake. Where the streams and rivers all meet, the lake lies in an indent in the ground, with the rivers flowing over edges creating stunning waterfalls on every side of the lake. The entire lake is surrounded by what looks like cliffs if you see it from the water level, but what is actually just the ground as the lake itself is submerged into the earth.   All along the edges are the cliffs made of giant rocks and old lava stones, with clear tunnels and holes going deeper underneath the ground. Natural caves, half-submerged in water, making for some beautiful sights for visitors and inhabitants of the area.
We follow the water, brooks and streams until we all meet at Miroon Lake
It is believed that the rivers collect energy from nature along their travels towards the lake, and when it finally arrives, it replenished the waters with new energy.

A place for introspection

Many visitors come for a place where they are able to think and hear their own thoughts - this is not a place meant for chaos and noise, but a place to be able to calm down and think about life and your part in it.   This is the idea of course, but this is also the largest lake in the near vicinity, so families do come to enjoy themselves. A widely known unwritten rule is in place, which is, don't scream and yell, and if your kids like to play wild then go to the western part of the lake. Of course, you should be allowed to have fun, but just still with respect for other visitors.

Rent your own cave!

What the town is most known for is the caves they made rentable for visitors. The natural caves that have formed in the rocky edge of the lake have been upgraded. Here, wooden decks and floors have been added, and most of them are low enough to the water that they have a personal staircase going straight to the water.   Many of the caves are half-submerged in the water, but also these are made rentable. A thick floating wooden floor, secured to the cavern walls have been implemented, and in these caves, private pools are available as the deck has a large opening with a ladder into the water.   The experience is truly magnificent for both children and adults - and doggos. Man dogs loves to jump into the water from the wooden decks.
