Ellyn
The trading capital of the north
A large and bustling city - the largest city in the northern region of the continent.
A prominent smell of fish blows through the city streets.Streets are always filled with booths and traders, looking for a good deal. Fish is the main trading item - good fish that is! And the Ywara fish is a delicates around the world. The people of Ywara tend to cluster a lot, settling in larger cities, and therefore many smaller settlements aren't as common here. That is also why their capital is filled with a lot of people compared to how many that lives in Ywaryn.
Citizens
Like many other places in Ywaryn the citizens are a bit held back when they are introduced to new people - they prefer the people and the things they already know, and trust. But once you get into their culture, you feel the warmth within them, they are just usually a very closed culture. They are learning though, as their capital gets bigger and bigger, new people are all around, so they have to interact with new people on a daily basis. So most citizens in the capital are more open and welcome, than the ones that live in the rural areas - though most outsiders would still describe citizens in the capital as held back.Trading
Ywara are extremely proud of their trading efforts, and the items they work so hard on. The country is filled with forest and barren lands, so they export a lot of tree to other countries, such as Irai. One tree that has really set root in the country is the famous Nila Tree. There are entire groups of people in Ellyn that specializes in Nila trees and how to tap them most efficiently - it's a whole science!Soot Sap is then put in containers and traded to many nearby countries for a good sum of money. Though this isn't a speciality item from Ywara, they are still proud of their optimized techniques of tapping, and they tell anyone and everyone that asks about it - so be careful with that or you might have to listen to them talk for hours.
