Vibril

Untouched, Unmarked Resonators

Author's Notes

This article is a bit shorter. While there is a fair amount of detail to Vibril, most of what they can do comes from Resonance and is mostly similar to the abilities of Resonators. Because of this similarity, the article is shorter. If there's anything that you are interested in that you feel may fit well into the article, please feel free to leave a comment.

Oooo, very intriguing. I like the idea of of Vibril being more culturally significant. Again, this world seems lived in, and that's awesome. It also mimics real derogatory terms in our world, like freshmen in high school/ college or privates in the army. I like it.   That opening quote feels ominous, which yes. After reading vibrations it makes sense. That's scary. The first thing that came to mind with it is whether these vibrations can be predicted and used by nefarious organizations as a literal ticking time bomb. Oof. Itd be an interesting plot.

Thanks! I felt it would make sense due to the connotation being generally negative as well as Vibril tending to be untrained. Something like that would eventually be turned into a slur to be used against poorly trained Resonators. And the term "Hertz" too, which I thought was a funny nod to the terminology.   Ooh. I'm glad you liked it. It's especially interesting as one of my characters whom you read about in the Four of the North article (not that I expect you to remember that) is actually going to be a Vibril throughout the story meaning this article is particularly important, especially in regards to Vibrations.   Theoretically, Vibril could be used in such a manner. However, it is doubtful that they or those around them would live long enough to record such details. Considering the nature power of Vibril, ones powerful enough to be destructive would practically tear their bodies apart and anyone observing their vibrations would have to be a large distance away to avoid being destroyed in the vibration. But an interesting idea.

I vaguely remember them. Havnt spent time with the characters yet. XD but I'm excited too. I'm definitely interested.   Well that's good though. No vibroterrorism.

We don't need vibroterrorism. Resonators are dangerous enough. I mean, I've not written about Resonex yet, but let's just say that a powerful enough one can either bring around 300 years of peace or, infamously, wipe out seven armies simultaneously; though, that kind of power is usually 1 in every 5 generations as my characters, who are all extremely powerful for their generations, are limited to the confines of a singular city's worth of destruction at a time.   Dear me. I think I've broken my magic system already.

Broken? Nawwww. I mean certainly that's crazy but you never know who's on the other side. Now I must know of this resonex and this armycide. Definitely keeping an eye out.
