Race and Cultures: Gnoll

Race: Gnoll (General)

Physical Appearance: Gnolls are hyena-headed humanoids, native to grasslands, deserts, and lightly-forested hills. They are tall and lean, 6’2”-7’5” tall and usually less than 200 lbs. They are covered in course hair, usually light brown with a darker ‘mane’ around the neck. Some are slightly spotted. They tend to small tribal communities, usually lead by the most powerful warriors. They are more likely to be hunters and gatherers or raiders than to try their hand at anything other than basic agriculture. They tend towards the wild side with an angry and impulsive streak, but they are also cunning and craft and capable of great loyalty and bravery.
Aging: Gnolls hardly ever live to old age; those rare cases can live to be 300 years old or so.
Location: The Far North and Fallen East have sizable gnoll population, but the Senpat desert has long birthed the most famous gnolls of Aertrea. Formerly persecuted and enslaved by the Pharoahs of old Senpat, they are now favorite citizens under the Godkings. Their tribes there are now deeply entwined with the Senpat Empire.

  • Natural armor bonus +1.
