History
They met when Gyala was blackmailed into attempting to traffick Eilis to use as a sacrifice. Gyala wanted no part, but the best he could do was fill Eilis in on the situation and try to come up with a plan together to stop the elves from summoning the Void. From there they ended up becoming close friends, and even started dating.
