The Elysians ensure no Deity will ever walk the Material Realm again

The Elysians unite their power to create the Divine Barrier, ensuring no Deity would be able to walk upon the Material Realm ever again. It is said that the honorable Zyla the Lawguard and the mighty Bahamut the Wyrm King offered this outcome to the other Elysians. It would be the perfect way to keep the Material Realm safe from the destruction that had plagued it for generations during the Divinity Strife.   With the Divine Barrier built, none of The Chthonic would be able to step foot on Aedar and take as many lives and destroy as many souls as they previously had. Of course this also meant that no Elysian would be able to live among their people, to laugh with their children, and to help the ones who desperately needed them.   The Elysians deemed the sacrifice worthwhile, and said goodbye to the world they had fought so hard to protect twice now. Leaving the destiny of mortalkind in their own hands, they retreated to the stars, and left only constellations in their wake.
