Þataleans
Marissian: Þatalata
The þataleans1 are nomadic elven tribes inhabiting the Þatal Plains in southwestern Adynía and the southern part of the Kingdom of Marissía.
Tribal chiefs have different titles depending on the region; those to the north and west are generally known as palak, while those to the east are called sklat.
Footwear is generally limited to chiefs and warriors, usually boots made of mountain goat- or bearskin, while those from the northern tribes sometimes wear hats decorated with a tuft, made from mountain goat beards.

Society
Þataleans are divided into numerous tribes across the plains, some of which are semi-nomadic (especially the ones near the coast or the shores of Kapor Lake) while others wander the region in constant search for wild game and pastures for the horses.Tribal chiefs have different titles depending on the region; those to the north and west are generally known as palak, while those to the east are called sklat.
Culture
Apparel
Þatalean men and women alike wear long, belted robes made of hemp or -especially in Marissía- linen or wool, sometimes adorned with fur trimmings, gold buttons or plaques. Alþyr
God of wealth and commerce, adopted from larúnean mythology.Gelía
Goddess of law and marriage, and patron deity of many þatalean tribes. Her priestesses fulfill a similar role to the Snake Oracles in most other elven cultures, acting as advisers for those facing difficult dilemmas and mediators in tribal disputes. They live in isolation along with a sworn guardian, and wear blindfolds as a symbol of blind justice.A priestess of Gelía performing a ceremony

Small scale conflicts between tribes are common among the þataleans, both among themselves and between tribes on the Þatalean Plains and the Marissíans. Bows are the þataleans' signature weapon, tribes in Marissía sometimes wield spears as well, and warriors in most tribes use arcane martial arts too.1Original icelandic: Þatalverjar, singular: Þatalverji
