Seeker

(Rex-ko in Raxarian)   The Seekers are a group of seven unique Raxarians that hunt down and either eliminate or capture rogue Raxarians. They are so good at their job that they are the main reason that humans still don't know about Nyet Yem and the Raxarians that inhabit it. They are generally more powerful due to their stronger souls and will most likely defeat any other Raxarian (except another Seeker) in a one-on-one battle.   While the original group was of seven, one did not survive the calamities of the War of the Dragon Lords. Teråvinen was the Elazireth Seeker and was killed (though unknowingly) by Elazireth. Since the Seekers are unique race of Raxarians, created specifically by the Dragon Lords alone, no fallen Seeker will ever be replaced unless the Dragon Lords are released from their Totems and deem it wise.   The holders of the Seeker title are:   Kærex (High Seeker): The Avaking Seeker and the leader of the group. He was automatically Avaking's Dragon Speaker when he was created and so Avaking has never had any other. He is a warrior and takes the helm when fighting rogues. The most fearsome of Raxarians, even non-rogues are afraid of him.   Zhikhonvenix (Lone Hunter): The Zysargia Seeker and the main tracker. Zhikhonvenix will utilise animals to expand the search area and he will find every trail possible. You cannot hide for long while he is on the prowl.   Maljiti (Interrogator): The Maelsium Seeker and the group's interrogator. Also known as the Hand of Death, Maljiti has some very sadistic tendencies for his methods of gathering information. While often condemned by other Raxarians as cruel and heretical, Maelsium himself has defended Maljiti as just doing his duty for the greater good of all Raxarians.   Veyemen (Killer): The Infermius Seeker and the group's executioner. He is the one to finish the job when a rogue is down, or the one to execute the rogue after they have been trialled by the Dragon Lords or Speaker. He often assists Maljiti in his interrogation efforts.   Kharinðek (Arrester): The Justicium Seeker and the retriever. As a Justicium, he heals he Seekers and ensures they are always in a fighting condition but he also heals the rogues if they are in a particularly bad shape. This is usually so that they can be returned home without dying along the way but also as a sign of compassion. Kharinðek usually advocates for the rogues to be allowed to redeem themselves but is usually rejected by the rogues themselves as they don't want to be redeemed. They are rogue, after all.   Riajilø (Ice Cage): The Tempora Seeker and the trapper. Using his weather incantations, he often forces a rogue into an enclosed space or trapped into a corner. He also uses his manipulation of ice to physically trap the rogue to make transport easier.   [Deceased] Teråvinen (Assassin): The Elazireth Seeker and the assassin. Teråvinen is dispatched either by Kærex or the Dragon Lords or Speakers to quickly and quietly eliminate a single target. This is usually to get rid of Raxarians that are already on the way to do something drastic and is an effective method of averting disaster. He would often get help from Zhikhonvenix to track down a target. Even though this was his main purpose, he spent most of his time working with Kærex and taking down rogues directly.

Appointment

The Seekers were a separate "race" of Raxarians that the Dragon Lords created to keep rogue Raxarians in check. Each Dragon Lord created only one, so there are only seven Seekers in total, and this number will never increase - even if a Seeker dies.

Duties

The Seekers hunt down and either capture or eliminate rogue Raxarians. They can do this is any way they choose but whether or not they bring the rogue back alive is at the discretion of the Dragon Lords or Speakers. The Seekers have to act as quick as possible and there is usually a lot on the line. A rogue may plan to kill other Raxarians, or attack the humans, or open a portal to the Void. Every second is crucial so no time is wasted.

Responsibilities

The Seekers must ensure that any Raxarians that turn rogue are caught as quickly as possible. Maljiti, the Interrogator, has a personal group of informants that track suspicious Raxarians or ones that are preparing to do something radical. Once a target has been identified, the Seekers will establish who gets them as they don't all need to go at once. This keeps some to continue monitoring potential threats while the others hunt.

History

The fall of Excellion was caused by an outraged Riaæven-zhiva that wanted to punish the humans for their attack on Nyet Yem, albeit a failed one. Riaæven-zhiva did this on a whim and was too quick to act before he could be stopped. He was apprehended immediately after and was quickly exiled but not before the damage had been done.   You can read more about this event in the Timeline at 394 and 392 BFB.

The Seekers are still active in Nyet Yem and are the reason that humans are still completely unaware of the Raxarians presence on Adremesis.
