Spellhold

Spellhold is located in the Merchant District of Golgatha, the Capital of Carandor. Because of the tumultuous history between Carandor and the Nine Wizards of Legend that once ruled the country, Spellhold is the only place in the country where arcane magic can legally be taught. Wizards might be feared in Carandor, but Carandorian society still relies on the fruits of their labor for its most distinctive features. This is an irony that has not gone unnoticed by the Church of the Pantheon, who generally disapprove of such arcane gadgets, arguing that they lead to moral decay.
