The Iskida

In a previous age of Adijari, the lines between mortals, god, and spirits were much more lucid. Everyone existed on the same plane, and the rules of mortality were as much in flux. Some mortals lived for two hundred years, and some spirits lived for ten. No one really understood why. It just was. what was certain, as it is now, is that everything that lived would die. Death was necessary for new life. That fate was not accepted by everyone. These entities schemed to live forever by going against the natural cycle. They by stealing the life of others to extend their own. They cast complex spells that sucked out the life of others and they only only faltered when they came across like minded selfish individuals also seeking immortality and ay cost. There were limits to the spells they devised, but upon meeting one another, and learning each others techniques, they discovered ways to adapt their spells into new ones. These were the Iskida, and through the power and knowledge they obtained, were on course towards enslaving Adijari. Until Brimhur took them on, the demi goddess who amassed her own army of diverse talented individuals. Through her actions, leadership, oratory skills, and creativity, she brought out the heroic in everyone, no matter their skill set. They went to war with the Iskida and defeated them numerous times, until the Iskida no longer had the power or time to enact their spells of immortality. Brimhur and her followers put an end to the Iskida's hopes of enslaving the world, but not their revenge. For the Iskida had learned much in their attempts, and were now driven by malice. They created the Isika, a hundred cursed items that would destroy the world in a future age. Their reasons for this were simple. If they could note be immortal rulers of Adijari, then they would destroy it.
