Light Smith
The practice of light smithing stems from Kithvari, the maker god and original light smith.
Light smithing is the ability to transform light energy into something else. Smiths draw light through translucent crystals of various types that separate the light into spectrums that allow smiths to manipulate the energy and reconstitute it into something new. There are literally hundreds of disciplines within light smithing, and each can take years of training to do successfully.
Kithvari is known as the thousand eyed god, so light smiths will choose to discipline their sight into mimicking any two of these eyes towards seeing the spectrums necessary that pertain to their craft.
Light smiths often learn some crafts outside of light to complement it. Creators of flare arrows for example know how to draw immense amounts of light into calcite, but are also skilled in carving calcite into aerodynamic coils, how to cover these coils to trap light inside, and how to make arrow shafts so that the arrows fly straight.
Most light smiths, inclusive of the industry and school live in Rampura
