The Order of Cleansing Flame is one of the many holy order which constitutes the Church of Sol. Unlike many other holy orders of Sol their mission is not missionary. They are explicitly an order focused on searching for decay and heresy in the lands already claimed by Sol. They see themselves as the "rearguard of the faith". 
Unlike the Knights of Redemption the Cleansers are not overly concerned with the practices of magic users. Their primary mission is to police the beliefs of the masses.
