Sol

Sol is the most common name for the sun god in those places once ruled by the Imperium. To the Church of Sol he is the only true god. While in the Imperial Panthon he is considered to be the brother of Adar, the terrestrial god, and Ahurani the ocean goddess. In both he is the father of Luna and Selene, the moon goddesses.

Divine Domains

In the Imperial Pantheon Sol was most often assosiated with War, Justice, Fertility, Light and Vengance. The later Church of Sol claims Sol represent all aspects of the world that are good and just.

Holy Books & Codes

There is no single holy book to which Sol worshippers adhere. The closest one gets is "Wisdoms of Sol", most commonly referred to as "the Wisdoms". This book is a compilation of moral lessons, stories and songs judged to be "genuine". It was composed by Freidrich von Merhenbürgh in the 4th century IC. However, a great many other religious books, songs and poems are also in circulation.
In general Sol worshippers are taught to obey their lords and priests. They are taught to fear and distrust arcane magic, and to venerate those who are "gifted" by sol: Clerics and Paladins. Sol demands retributive justice; he is not a god of mercy. Sol demands the taming of the wilderness, killing of monsters and the expansion of civilization.
