The demons are known for valuing strength above all else, seeing themselves as the strongest (and thus dominant) species. They won't hesitate to abandon one of their own for appearing weak. Alliances only last as long as both parties don't display weakness - the instant weakness is shown, the agreement is tossed to the wind.

"Where do Half-Demons Come From?"
Demons, both male and female, are notorious for using Actreines as a means of reproduction (despite being able to reproduce on their own without Actreines being involved). They do this in three main ways.Trickery
The arguably kindest way is through trickery, such as using a magical disguise: the demon disguises themselves as an attractive Actreine and talks their way into the Actreine's bed. Then they leave, never to be seen again. While it does involve trickery, it's kinder than the other two methods they use.Nighttime
Some demons have been known to sneak into a sleeping Actreine's bed and use sleeping magic on them to keep them from waking up. This is often the creepier of the three methods, as the Actreine only finds out later that it's happened. Though this is still not as bad as the third and final method.Trauma

Sometimes a demon (perhaps bored, perhaps angry, or perhaps just not caring) will force an Actreine into aiding them in reproduction while the Actreine is awake. This is the most cruel method, though luckily it isn't nearly as common as the other two.A Half-Demon is Born
During the pregnancy, unless the third method was used, an Actreine may think they are expecting the birth of a normal Actreine child. It isn't until the child is born that the mother realizes what actually happened. When this happens, the child is known as a half-demon. A half-demon child can have a few different features, though there is no known way of guessing what features a half-demon child will have.Horns
Similar to their demon parents, a half-demon can be born with horns. Their horns, however, are usually smaller and less intimidating.Skin color
A half-demon can also inherit the pale warm skin colors of their demon parent, rather than the gray-tan or blue of their Actreine parent.Eyes
