The Princely City of Atcth
The Princely City is well regarded as the Center of Acrine. Made in reverence for Acron, God of the Soul, this boiling pot is where the brightest minds and strongest mages come to converse and learn new crafts. Being the first city to implement Thresholds, they have had a strong hold on trade. With a rich and lavish history and the Atcths spearheading the accumulation of arcane and technological knowledge, this breeding pot is where dreams come to meet reality; for those who can afford it. Heading Acrine into the Time of Intertwinment, the Princely City has been able to take the engineers and inventors of the The Triumvir's Capitals and connect them with the mages of the other side of the world to create inventions only ever conceived of by dreamers.
Purpose / Function
The Princely City has become the boiling pot of the waking world, and plans to remain the center of trade and commerce. With the help of The Fog of Tai, it has had a firm handle on the centrality of the world for generations.
Architecture
The Princely City has seen many advancements throughout its life, while the technological advancements may take a slight while longer to implement than the cities in The Triumvir's Capitals, the expansive set of intellectual and magical prodigies make The Golden City the first to receive many forward-setting luxuries.
Defenses
The city itself has high walls with mounted ballistas and cannons, common for most of the larger cities in Acrine. It also has the largest amount of The Sentinel Guard, other than Gondorion's City itself. On top of a large amount of trained footmen, they also are the first to take advantage of new weapons of war, and of the mages that live within the city.
