The Sentinel Guard

The Sentinel Guard is a title for the widespread band of trained and hire-able mercenaries from The Sentinel City of Gondorion. While these bounty hunters are most often given titles of knightship and military prowess, they do boil down to swords for hire. Granted, they were trained in the most prestigious league of trained military men. When hired by cities, the Guard members renounce loyalty to the Sentinel City, as long as they are paid by their new employers. The City of Gondorion takes a small tariff of the guards' income, needing a yearly payment by all guards throughout Acrine. They usually receive these large sums making use of Thresholds.
