Ascension of the Seven

As the cults of the world began their attempt to control reality a rag-tag group of adventurers came together to stop them. We begin with Ruben Ribnik, a mighty paladin of Helm, the Watcher. Ruben had been tasked with the protection of Dezun, a psychic under the protection of Helm. These two met with a group of travelers: Poo-Ki Nam-Jo, Douglas Godwyn and Strongshield Beaky - Kori. They were tasked with locating the first mate of a ship captain, on behalf of the Copperwind Cloaks, who sent along Nimh Leyawiin. During the return from the island of Arkala Dezun began to fall to the whispers of the deep ones, leaping off the ship in defiance of his protector. From this point on-wards the party focused on the pressing issue of the cults of the world coming together to end reality. The party attempted to seek guidance from the children of the All Father: Hevictus Arno, Danielle Thorin and Witherheart, the First. They also took this moment of peace to recruit a new ally, the Goblin archer China-gun the Goblin.   They took up the mantle of the Wielders of Calamity, searching across the land for the powerful artifacts of Calamity that once were used to end the last incursion of the Old Gods. First finding the Kiss of the Changebringer within the bowels of the Arcanist school of Brandholme. They took a ship to the land of Ikica, where they found the Wraps of Dymak after finishing the trials of the five. The explored the islands north of Ikica to locate the fey bow Fenrath, claiming it from the Moonlit King. As the party searched for the final two implements they began to move onward to Aegath, during the journey they met the bulk of the forces of the Esoteric Order of Dagon. Upon landing they first made there way to the land of the ancient elves, learning of their connection to the old gods. It is here tehy made first contact with the Lords of the Void cult.   After venturing into the forgotten and cursed city of Saltport, they claimed the soul of a far-realm creature and gained a mystical boom-stick. This boom-stick gave China-gun the ability to shoot people with a shotgun. The party took a teleport from the city of the ancient elves, in order to find a fire giant stronghold, but something went awry. China-gun had been taken by the cult in their teleportation. The party saved China-gun, but he had been contacted by the spirit of the gun changing him forever. The party made their way to Pelor's Chimeny, taking the Plate of the Dawnmatyr from the fire giants who held it. Once the Plate had been obtained, and on the way to Gutterhope Island, Douglas Godwyn took the opportunity to retrieves the kiss of the change-bringer. To do this he had to return to stilune and aid the Ruby Collective. Once Douglas had left the party were contacted by an otherworldly figure, a Gith who had come to this plane to aid in the destruction of the cults: Dramir.   The party took to the seas to save the dragons of Gutterhope who where being assaulted by the three cults: Esoteric Order of Dagon, Lords of the Void and the newly revealed Masters of Ceremony. After making there way through the dwarven citadel towards the shield of the dragons they met with a treterous force, Dillian Clearview. The leader of the Masters of Ceremony came to observe and betray the party, but stood no chance in defeating them.   With the implements of calamity retrieved, and Douglas saved from the Ruby Collective, the party moved on the leaders of the cults. However, before any progress could be made they had a chance encounter with Dezun the Fallen, now a creature of tentacle and horror. He had been masquerading as a sage for the Copperwind Cloaks, awaiting the return of Nimh Leyawiin so that he could kill his mentor before his eyes. They first hunted the leader of the Lords of the Void, Tzar-Kolan upon his floating castle. Here they found cultists swarming the island of Pazzol, and upon slaying them and Tzar-Kolan they made there escape to the tower of Strolarths. With one leader slain the cults became emboldened. They invited the party to the Temple of the Fallen, where Dillian Clearview planned their demise. Here the party met with two members of the ancient elven high council: Korrev the Artificer of Old and Vallak the Biomancer. They also met with a new force, a void herald named Shiz'Nikko. They slew the foul Dillian Clearview, and finished the ascension of their potent implements.   With the slaying of Dagon, the All Father descended upon the party and asked them if their vigil could be utilized.   They accepted, and began their unending duel with Azathoth. The souls of the party would go on to for a fragmented deity, a pantheon of there own, the Faith of the Seven.
