The Psyche Phenomenon

Psyche is a divine being tied close to the fey aspects of the Graceswift area, who has the place as her home, deep within it's wilds. Her scions are able to spread her joy and beauty to all corners of the Graceswift Kingdom, and beyond. Psyche herself is quite the powerful being, she can take on the form of most things, but chooses a form akin to a butterfly for most of the time. In one instance, only once a year, near it's end, she takes the form of a gargantuan being with the general shape of a butterfly. As a gift to all of Graceswift, she rises from it's wilds, and ascends into the night sky, which is celebrated as a festival kingdom-wide. This phenonemon is unlike any other seen across all of Aitso, which makes the event a key role in others travelling to these lands, and also a reason for many others to stay. 

In preparation for this event, the Graceswift Kingdom throw parties in the name of the divine being, often bringing her Scions around, if they wish to join. More often than not however, they refuse, as they have their own preperations to make for this event. As beings of nature, they often make sure that all beings will not be killed or damaged before, during, or shortly after this event. It is meant to be a time of peace, but in the most recent years, there has been pushback from The Red Moon, often for the sake of causing problems for the divine forces of good. The event is also when many animals begin their process of hibernation, as when winter comes for the Graceswift area, it can be quite the powerful winter, akin to mountains and a tundra. The Grace royal family also throw a banquet, in this time, where most, if not, all members of the royal family would meet under one roof and have a meal that reflects a birthday banquet in their family. 

The event is watched by thousands of people, all from courtyards, plateaus, and any form of leverage over the treelines, swampy fogs, small terrain that floats in the sky, or ridged cliffsides. Even certain animals and monsters treat this event with a great amount of respect, bowing in the presence of Psyche when the ceremony goes underway. In each of the original Court capitals, the Syrs of Graceswift would allow, and provide guidance and surveillance, over a series of fireworks, made with the help of different magical items. In one instance, Hundred-Year Lightning was used to cause a crackling lightshow, that lit up Psyche as they rose into the sky. 

Psyche takes on the form of a simple, iridescent butterfly, which causes the night sky to glow with the power of the divine being. She manifests at the base of the ground, nearly blinding anybody within her reach, before ascending upwards, into space, before fizzling out into pure mana.
