The Archthrone

"Yes, this is ours! Nowhere have we seen the imprint of a giant's arse on our city. He may have been here before, but now, it belongs to us. No throne is this, but to our riches, and our valour!"
- Rüntins the Steelfooted
The Archthrone is, currently, the independent city for a large group of dwarves in the eastern regions of the Volcanic Lands. With keen architecture, the entire city is built upon the throne of a storm giant known as Kromokazar. Each of the buildings in the city are stacked, with homes being connected by ladders and stone bridges. This dwarven society are quite the altruistic type, with the suppliers to the city, mostly scouts, farmers, and hunters, giving out items relatively for free, under the prospect of having their own home. The Archthrone also has a school of pyromancy, specifically in the art of eruptions and lava sorcery, due to the local area being littered with small volcanoes and pools of magma beneath surfaces of ash and cooled rock. Kromokazar has vowed to lay waste to the Archthrone's civilization, a vow that will be enacted as soon as he is able to ascend back to The Grand Plateau .
The Archthrone is compromised of materials reigning from stone, to metal, with little use of organic materials. The mountainous region holds little to no sign of organic life upon the surface, only holding jagged ridges and deadly monsters that survive in these environments. The dwarves need to travel far to other colonies in more natural environments, often trading their magical items built to endure, or control, the lava around them, for basic supplies in bulk, like meats, wood, or other animal products. Some other materials, like water, surprisingly, are able to be found beneath the Archthrone, in large springs and underground rivers. A portion of the Archthrone's population have migrated below to make sure that no other settlement is able to claim ownership of the area. Because of it's prominence in trading businesses, it is known as an independent city, despite its small population. This is also because the Archthrone does not belong to any wider kingdom, or guild.
Kromokazar's name is engraved upon the highest point of the throne, in large, runic letterings, representing an ancient font of Giant. Having read this, the Dwarves have been on the hunt for the Storm Giant, hoping that instead they'd find his body rather than a fight. However, in preparation for a war, the Archthrone's began preparation through a volunteering military for those who do not value the life underground or the life of a hunter, but instead one of glory. They are led by Rüntins the Steelfooted. Despite the deadly foe, the dwarven forces have show no signs of having dwindling forces.

Kromokazar, the Vengeful Throne-Watcher

Kromokazar is a storm giant, a warlord who has fought in numerous battles against both giants of ice and fire, across the Grand Plateau. Standing at a colossal 140 feet, he has made dark connections with lords of thunder from other planes, a title he wishes to gain for himself. During his sieges of dungeons, castles, kingdoms and lairs, he had found himself the Hall of the Demonic Lords. The seats there even dwarfed him in size, which made his escape with one of them even more the spectacle. Kromokazar, now enemy of demons, dwarves, would bring his new throne to the Volcanic Lands, to his old home. He sat upon his new throne, sword in hand, proud of his conquest. But it was not enough. In order to seize a title of a Lord of Thunder, he needed to slay a being of equal strength. That'd be Elturek, dragon of the north. In their great duel, Kromokazar was able to wield the lightning struck at him, through the breath of Elturek, and direct it back to her.
