Dryads of the Shifting Forest

"Ingvar believes that he rules this forest? He does? I have to admit, I do love that warrior's confidence. But this is ours. It has been for years, decades, even. It's ours now, and it always will be. Praise be to the Grace that we don't fall in our fight to reclaim our home,"
Before The Red Moon , the Shifting Forest was home to a more ancient circle of druids. One that valued prosperity, worshiped Psyche , and kept the land intact. They were made up of Dryads, mostly those that would've been formed within the Forest too. As peace-lovers, they had done the exact opposite of what Ingvar had done to them, and had kept hidden away, trying to just live simple lives. This ideology, however, was cut short, prematurely. Ingvar did not share the same compassion as the other residents to the forest. The Lycanthrope has practically waged war on all of the Dryads that consider themselves part of the forest, claiming that the land is his by right, and by conquest.
Rather than see the Forest as a maze, like the New Circle does, sees it more as a form of eternal exploration. With each shift in their home means a new way to see things. The roots beneath them are always moving, so why should they plant themselves still? They do not have homes, instead they use resources that they can leave for the forest to reclaim, and then use again themselves. This pure, cycling lifestyle has meant that these Druids can live the best life possible. But in recent times, with Ingvar laying waste to certain areas of the forest in name of the Red Moon, these forest-folk have been given no other choice but to enter towns and villages for both solitude, and as a request to incapacitate Ingvar. Despite this, the only powerful person able to come to their aid is the Ashen Rider herself, Vivien Grace . Her aid has been through sending Griffins to keep Red Moon werewolves preoccupied, from wherever other members of their ancient circle safe, through perceptive eyes from above the treelines.

Naming Traditions

Family names

As a Druid circle, everyone within the group is given a title instead of a family name. These Dryads go by the title, comprised of 'Of The Shifting Forest". This title has lost his resound though, as some of these plantfolk have diverged into Graceswift's settlements. Some have adopted local surnames to fit in better, within recent times. Truly though, they are still members of the Shifting Forest, and always will be.

Tressara's Animated Shield

Belonging to the leader of these plantfolk, a shield meant to protect it's leader, Tressara, has fallen from the Elder's hands due to her death. Ingvar had killed her, and without regard for the item, had thrown it into the Deeproots of the nearby trees, expecting it to be gone for no other person to find. However, the forest itself has traversed it to the nearby outskirts, wrapped in vines and branches, so that only those interested in nature may find it. The shield holds the values of a Dryad of the Shifting Forest around it's rim, written in Ancient Sylvan.

The name of the forest implies that Ingvar's efforts are futile.   It would be helpful to understand the druids' initial approach to living in harmony with the land and how they went about it before.
