The Airship Docks

Rising above the southeastern sands of Dum Ramil, accessible only by a single fortified bridge, the Airship Docks stand as a testament to the city's connection to the skies. A hub of trade, diplomacy, and clandestine dealings, the docks serve as Dum Ramil’s gateway to distant lands, offering passage across the desert—and beyond.

A Fortress in the Sky

Unlike the chaotic markets below, the Airship Docks are heavily regulated, their operations overseen by the Council of Dum Ramil. Guards patrol the bridge, ensuring that only those with proper clearance may enter. The docks themselves are a blend of functionality and grandeur, with towering mooring spires, reinforced landing platforms, and massive storage vaults where cargo is inspected before it reaches the city.

The Beacon of the Sky

Standing at the farthest edge of the Airship Docks is the Skyfire Spire, a towering lighthouse of enchanted flame. Unlike traditional lighthouses, its beacon is not mere fire, but a magical flare that shifts colors to signal arrivals, dangers, and weather conditions to incoming airships. The Skyfire Spire is manned at all hours by a sect of specialized navigators and arcane scholars, ensuring that every vessel finds its way safely to port—or, if need be, is warned away.

A Gateway for the Bold

Airships arrive and depart under the watchful eyes of skyfarers, merchants, and city officials. Some carry exotic goods and rare artifacts, while others bring diplomats, mercenaries, and fortune seekers. It is said that some of the most dangerous and lucrative deals in Dum Ramil are struck within the shadow of an airship’s hull.

The Veiled Couriers

Not all who come to the docks seek trade. The Veiled Couriers, a clandestine network of messengers, smugglers, and spies, operate under the guise of airship crews. They are rumored to transport forbidden knowledge, stolen treasures, and even fugitives beyond the city’s reach.

A Place of Opportunity and Mystery

The Airship Docks offer wealth, escape, and danger in equal measure. Those who step onto its platforms know they are standing on the edge of the unknown—whether that unknown leads to fortune, exile, or death, only the winds will tell.

"The desert has no walls, but Dum Ramil does. If you wish to escape its grasp, look not to the sands—look to the sky."
