Public Agenda

To protect and reserve the sacred lands of Morris and its people.

History

The Norook peoples that claimed this land an ago, found something deep in the forest. A great fungus network that uses it's many nodes and tendrils like neurons. it was intelligent enough to communicate with the immigrants who began to worship it. The new inhabitants protect the fungus and the wildlife in exchange for a stable food source, hallucinogenic compounds for rituals and a real deity that talks back.   The population thrived under their new overlord who proved to be a prudent and benevolent ruler. Under the fungus's guidance, the Morrish people learned to live effectively off the land and have little need for farming or infrastructure of any kind. Outsiders could be forgiven for thinking the land is abandoned, for the Morrish build their few strongholds and fortresses in very well hidden and well protected areas.   Morris has been under attack many times since it appears to be almost completely undefended but have lost little territory thanks to their gorilla tactics and the strong bond they share with the land.   The forest tribes finally coalesced into a kingdom once they could no longer afford to be politically cut off from the rest of the world.

Demography and Population

250,000   Morris is the least densly populated kingdom in the realm. The people are evenly dispersed across the land in tribes ranging from 20 to 500, with remained of the population holed up in their hidden strongholds.
