Rifthaven Windmill
After the initial successes of Gert's Bakery, the hamlet of Rifthaven has decided to support the construction of a windmill come spring when the ground thaws.
Not everyone in Rifthaven supports this idea.
The faction of residents who just want to go home view this project as a folly at best and an admission of failure at worst. They either do not want to or are afraid to support this project for fear of losing sight of their objective.
The faction of residents who want to stay isolated and hidden fear that a great project such as this will only draw attention and will only result in more powerful elements falling upon them. This is a natural sentiment for many of the residents who are only here because they were fleeing persecution or conquest in the first place.
The goblins are happy to help with the project and seem to be the most eager of any of the residents to see it built. They have not yet considered that all the bread they can eat will not be a free proposition for the rest of their lives. But since the majority of the villagers view the goblins with extreme distrust, this is a fine step towards cooperation if not friendship.
