Myacoris

The Myacoris are a species of Millenakos who are detrivorous or parasitic in nature. They are one of the only tribes with a written history dating before the Coriniaid. They are diverse in culture, and although not all, many are parasitic in nature or rely on other groups for survival. However, in contrast, they are also known to have incredible technology and the Henoset inherited many of their traits.

Who are they and what do they look like?

• Like other Urkommen, their skin ranges in tone but is generally fleshlike and warm
• Prone to rashes, rosacea, and discoloring, as well as jaundice even in adulthood
• Of all the Urkommen, they are most likely to have artificial or cybernetic limbs
• Dress in a lot of clothes and wrappings to protect them from harsh chemicals and garbage

What are their senses or perceptions?

• Excellent sight, including UV detection and tetrachromacy
• Excellent smell/taste senses, which helps their medical technology
• High pain tolerance, to the point they don't notice when they're injured

Where are they in your setting?

• They are primarily in the South and Midlands of the Island, and tend to settle where garbage and waste is
• They were a major part of the Heno Empire, particularly due to their connections to one another
• Their major centres are Sealtland, Cargast, Eskern, and the southern portions of Ghealas and Rhudd

How do they survive in their environment?

• They have excellent medical technology
• Neurotoxins basically don't work on them (unfortunately other poisons do)
• Are able to get nutrients from fungus and mold in ways that other species aren't, allowing them to love off of organic (and inorganic) waste
• Very resourceful but also protective of their habitat

What is their general attitude?

• Matriarchal, fertility cult
• Emphasis on family and community but also self-sufficiency
• Tend to have a lot of eccentric habits and taboos that can differ from tribe to tribe

How do they feel about the other peoples?

• Were actually the ones who came up with a lot of the technology behind Double Walkers/Hexen, and have much less of a problem with them than other species
• Held solidarity with the Henoset and thus by extension the Coriniaid, though much of that has dissipated with time
• Decent relationship with the Gannwyll Gwydd, in part because the Myacoris adopted their religious practices after the Heno Empire fell
• Those who are on the borders of Kubeleya territory may have some relationships with Myacoris, particularly trade relationships
• They have a bitter hatred for Vespula, for the most part, and the two species are constantly fighting each other brutally, with some tribes resorting to enslavement and other atrocities to subdue their rivals or neighbour
