Geographic Features of Northern Odaesong
The northern portion of Odaesong is governed by the Phenada Empire. Most of this area is lowlying forests and plains, but there is one slowly sloping mountain range in the far north. Most towns are located off the mountainside, but the capital and several mining settlements exist in the mountains.
Climate
Towards the southern end of the expanse, the climate becomes more tropical. As you go northwards, this transitions to tree savanna, grass savanna, and finally montane forests.
Natural Resources
Common folk are aware that gilsonite exists in the Llourin mountain range, but how much and where is a closely guarded secret. Other metals are more common, and lumber is bountiful. The lowlying grass savannah has fertile soil home to farming communities.
