While it was initially sold for the aristocrats, it wasn't until when Walter Velzo brought it with him from his noble background when he became the first Royal Magician and the creation of the Star of Lucidus that spread throughout the magic community. It eventually became the symbol of an experienced magician of Lucidus and is considered as a favored accessory for aspiring magicians such as magic students, interns, and apprentices.
