Right Panel:

Key Advice

VIs have few options for self-defense and rely on you to be their custodian.
Ask your VI or check the manual for which safety options are available. Exact features and limitations can differ between models.

Physical Safety

Alert protocols can automatically message you, the manufacturer, or local law enforcement as needed.
The best way to keep a VI safe is to keep it within sight. To paraphrase common advice, don't send a VI where you wouldn't send a child.

Digital Safety

If you have concerns, power down your VI and run diagnostics or bring your VI to a trusted service location. Whether or not you're certain something's wrong, it's best to check.
Remember, most want an easy target. A base level of care will outdo any would-be assailant.
