Hounds, Scales, and Bad Weather

by Lady Charity k'Sheyna

Ash grey and turquoise blue are my new favorite colors.

Prince Antiachass is even more handsome than his brother. He tells us that the older, key people in Scales are dying off. Four, so far have passed. The one that really caught his attention was the Avatara that suffered heart failure.
Zarzarian and Delathar have sweet-talked the Prince in to an audience. He wants armor, she wants to study the library. And for me? The fate of Forbear is weighing heavy on me. Am I aging? Is this the price of nobility, that those who have served so faithfully become so important? I have asked the Prince to spend time with Forbear and see if he has the skills and knowledge to teach to advantage his Phantom Hounds.

After using the World Knot, we are dumped into the dreary weather of Scales, on the southern coast of the continent. Antiachass sent us to Lord Frederick De Montilliet, who told us that the Knight commander Sir William Falsted , tax collector Durmund , imperial envoy Minerv, and Avitara (Pranae) are all dead within a fortnight. We are here on a secret mission, and are not to be found out.
We pass an orator on the street with more than four (several hundred) people have surrounded. He spoke about government reform.
Captain Tristan of the Army of Scales. Showed us to our safehouse. Told us we can defend ourselves, but not arrest.
We can research, examine bodies, stakeouts, interrogate, go undercover.

Lady Grey and Delathar have gone to interview the orator. I'm going to check out bodies.
