That’s more like it. This ol’ dog needs some softer company.

Enter- Lauren.

We finally got a chance to meet up and exchange gossip, or as she liked to point out, ‘I wasn’t really gossiping, but more like chatting’ Tomato, Tom-ah-to, I’m just happy to get a chance to sit back and talk without the fuzz or other people with guns staring at me like dead meat.

Well, whatever you call it, Lauren and I had a good long conversation where we talked about all kinds of subjects, personal and professional. I picked up a little news on how her and Violet used to be an item, which was quite fun imagining. She mentioned how Jude was right pissed off at us and that's why he pulled a sloppy job on the break in. She said we owe (or more specifically Rufus) him an apology, but I let her know it probably wasn’t going to happen after I asked.

We spoke of position and power, of pawns and queens, but never of right and wrong. Our meeting got cut short however because of previous engagements, so we didn’t get to part ways after a sweaty embrace (I probably shouldn’t be using that word, should I?).

After getting back to a cold empty home, imagine my surprise when none other than William Bakersmith comes sauntering through the door. Well, I guess I usually saunter, he kind of trudged through it. Turns out he had been in holding, in lock-up for the better part of a couple days. Turns out he got nabbed after speeding through a traffic light or something during our escape from the scene. I’m glad he’s back and all, but damn I wish it were under better circumstances. That unlucky light put us dangerously close to that bloody house.

Time for another powwow. The group gets together again and Will has to go over the whole ordeal again. According to the news, there’s a storm brewing off the coast, and it’s gonna be a doozie. Vlad mentions that he’s gonna have his friend out for a few drinks later and wanted to have us meet her. Guess we have to be on our best behavior, It’s like he doesn’t know who he’s talking to.

Later that night we get to meet her, and dang. I’m not surprised he moved this way to try and reconnect. She’s a bombshell and looks like she enjoys having fun. But I’ll respect the hunt and won’t encroach on his takedown. She’s good company and everyone seems to hit it off. Until… the winds change or something. I’m not sure who started it, but I overheard Will joking in a sort of morbid way. I’m not sure if she picked up on the fact that he wasn’t truly kidding or maybe it was something else.

Sofia got a look in her eye, that told me she was uncomfortable and looking to escape. These boys need to know how to talk to a woman.. They’re too used to the Wolfblood type, a thick hide and not afraid of getting a little blood on their hands. Not everyone is built like that, hell, I wasn’t till a few months ago.

Shit, has it only been a few months? Well, it seems like Winter is Coming, and we’d better be ready to hunker down in our perspective Dens. I’m sure nothing will go wrong.
