Missle-Toe

You know those times when your hands are so cold that when you put them near the fire, heater or under hot water and it stings and burns?

That feeling is how I woke up, at least I did wake up, but it was like being dunked into a magma bath after sinking with the titanic. I guess beggars can’t be choosers, and at least I did wake up.

Most of the gang from earlier was there too, apparently I had gotten smacked around and they had to drag me out after they took care of the blizzard. Something about the frigid cold made it so we didn’t heal or regenerate like we normally do. I’m not sure if it stops completely or slows way down. I don’t really want to find out the hard way.

After we all sat in the warmth of the den, licking our wounds, Will decided to show up. Apparently he had crashed/stuck his car on a joy ride and had to hike back with a dead phone for a few hours. I don’t envy him after all that. There was just the matter of what to do with the rest of our day.

Well first things first. We need to be ready if this blizzard comes back and for that we need mistletoe grenades. Seeing as they’re out of season on Amazon, we’re gonna have to make them ourselves.

We found a local florist and planned a daring theft. Only it wasn’t too elaborate, in fact. It was going to be a solo operation. I was just gonna pop in and grab what I could get my hands on.

All in all, it went pretty smoothly, I popped over, unlocked everything, perused the spikey leaves, gathered one of each, popped out and locked it all back up. I even dropped a 20 on the counter before I left. Hope that covers it.

After some debate we ended up just trying to make a small impact in the community. Shoveling driveways, dragging cars out of snow banks, and even passing out hot refreshments. There was something still a little too unnatural about the chill in the air. After a few hours we called it quits and decided to see if Old Iron Sides was slingin’ beers or not.

I was quite surprised to see Ramona and Maud going shot for shot at the bar, having a grand ol’ time. They hadn’t seen hide nor hair of anyone though so we invited them over to my place to share in some company. They graciously accepted and we all had a good evening together as a pack. Nothing could go wrong.
