Session 7 (2/7/23)

The party approaches their new house which is 5 stories with a mahogany (actually stone) door. There is a blank marquis. The entrance is empty with a spiral staircase. Crystal’s room is on the first floor with a very large closet. Shomari is on the 5th floor with lots of windows and a step down to a basin/bath. Harley also has a large window and gardens. Sacha’s room has a cement floor with open spaces, a fur rug, green walls, weights, and a zen garden.
 
Crystal goes to talk to Shomari. Shomari agrees to teach Crystal magical art and tells her that he does jobs for rich people for money and has an employer that takes most of the cut. Shomari wants to know more about Crystal, but she is unwilling to divulge.
 
Quests
 
Harley answers a knock. Lady Lysbelle who is a manciple of Anwynn (Goddess of the Hearth). She has a birthmark on her face that looks like She wants us to help her find something. They have a fire maintained by a crystal that has been stolen. It was stolen by a female duskling about 48 hours ago. She pulls out an orb that shows the face of the Duskling who is Noctia. She agrees to give Crystal 100 G for the return of the crystal.
 
Another knock at the door is Sirom Volpe, a muscular duskling who is asking for Shomari. He works for house of Layanarn (Shomari knows this, not me). He tells Shomari that the Council of Sunrises needs your help. In private, Sirom tells Shomari that people who work in the farms are dying. For’stygia (a dark power that is heavily regulated) was found in the homes of the victims. It can be made by sacrificing people. It looks like an inside job of one of the Houses. He approached Shomari with this quest because he knows Shomari is capable and noble. He will give us 2000 G to find out what’s going on and stop it.
 
After they leave, Shomari asks about the sprite and Crystal asks for it to appear. She introduces herself as Nickelknight. Nickelknight tries to tell them why she’s here but can only say “Fa’te” before the rest of the sentence is lost.
 
Harley is meditating in the room and suddenly needs to stretch his shoulders.
 
Before bed, Crystal approached Shomari to warn him that Garnet would be taking over tomorrow. Shomari asked what the deal is, but Crystal was closed on the details.
 
After falling asleep, Shomari wakes up to a woman standing in his room with a camel. She does not see him but is telling stories. Shomari realizes it’s an ancestor. She finally acknowledges him then he wakes up. There is a feather left behind and turns into incarnum styled.
