The group wakes up to get breakfast. Sacha and Shomari discuss House Laeanarn of whom they both serve. Sacha reveals his family has served the house for ages. They ask Azora if she is affiliated with a house, she gives no information and refuses to tell her last name. Harley is asked the same, and he says he doesn’t remember from where he came.
An 8 year old boy enters the house and demands a drink, claiming that he is 135 and ages from infant to old every day. Garnet is all for giving it, but no one else is. Shomari realizes he’s lying and talks in Garnet’s mind to stop. Shomari hears an unfamiliar voice agree that “This needs to stopped,” and Garnet grudgingly pulls back the drink.
Shomari asks who he serves. He says he serves Korak (God of the forge). As Garnet drinks the Arcoiris that the child didn’t drink, and it gave her cloudy steps. The kid says his name is Amalazar Merehel. He shows them a horse that he made, and he could make it walk a little. Garnet, impressed, buys it for the bar.
They decided to check on the refoe (tall grain plants) farms, and on the way, Garnet asks Shomari about the tree symbol. He has seen it but does not know much about it. Garnet asks him to look into it, and he agrees to do so. They reach the farm. Nickelknight looks through the house and finds no people but a footprint of black dust. She lets them in (the door was unlocked) and Shomari finds that the footprint leads outside. Azora uses detect magic to see a slight trail of magic dust from the bed to the footprint then out the door.
Harley talks to one of the roth (cattle) that live on the farm. The roth’s name is Moostafir. He says the people who tended the farm, walked away to the West and South. There were 2 people who left slowly.
They head to another farm on the list (in Southwest direction). There are two Vai women, Seevra and Tala Sarvon, working a field on the way. A couple of days ago, Tala saw someone approach the Jasin farm late at night and leave early in the morning. This was not a farm on our list.
They go to the Jasin farm. After walking in, they sense something is wrong and hear a popping sound. The door closes behind them, and a gang of dark skeletons attack them. Upon closer look, the skeletons have the size proportions of a family of 5. The group dispatches them, reducing them to piles of dust. Azora finds a magical trinket in the fireplace. It’s a metallic necklace with intricate symbols. It looks like the tree symbol Patience has been looking for.
The group heads back to the mansion for a short rest before their meeting with Larvon.
