Born in the midst of a great typhoon, it was foretold that Zinsalor would become a great Druid like the legendary Vëantur. Unfortunately he is never told of his great destiny, as tragedy strikes when Zinsalor, still a relatively young sea elf, and his clan were ambushed by a band of sahuagin. His parents, wishing to save their only child, sacrificed themselves to ensure Aqua’s escape. His father heralded dolphins to aid the escape, as his mother wrapped her seashell necklace around her only son. Battered and weary, falling unconscious, Zinsalor is carried away from the carnage.

He is awoken on the beach by an unfamiliar face. A small human boy gazes upon the first elf he has ever seen. A young sea elf looks back, the first human he has ever laid eyes on.

Zinsalor and Felix become friends. Zinsalor shows Felix the ways of the sea, and in turn Felix helps Zinsalor acclimate to human culture. Still scarred by the massacre of his people, Zinsalor lives like a hermit on the edge of town, occasionally venturing into town for various needs. A town without elves, the people are intrigued by his presence. Felix, an innocent child with a good heart, is the only one to treat Zinsalor like normal.

After many years of living in Velynssel, the village is mysteriously attacked. Fearing for the life of his only friend, Zinsalor rushes to the child’s home, only to find it utterly destroyed. Suddenly he is assaulted by a band of devils. He manages to fend for himself, but unbeknownst to him his mother’s necklace is torn from his neck. Fending off the attack, Zinsalor retreats to the sea. For the second time, his community had been taken away from him. First his parents, and now his only friend, Felix, was gone too. Realizing his necklace is missing, the last connection to his people, his family, he is truly lost.

After aimlessly wandering through the water for days, nearing exhaustion, Zinsalor finds himself in the presence of a beast revered by his people, not seen in centuries. The mighty Dragon Turtle. Awed by the majesty of this creature, Zinsalor pledged himself to be a devout protector of the sea. Years pass, venturing around the ocean saving sea creatures & castaway sailors alike.

One fateful day out at sea, Zinsalor comes across a boat, one that would change his life forever.
