End of the Curse: Winter 454 - 455

by Lady Emmeline d'Garin

We are all agreed to move with the Count to the new Eastern March.

I plan on introducing Lily as an ally and perhaps member of the Wizards Guild once the Easter March is established.

Spent the holidays with the Count, but came back to Uncle's for the family gift exchange.

We went on our trip starting December 30, en route to Renan, there to pick up Lily. From there we went to Anteret where I had to say goodbye to Wren, for she had to go on her guantlet for House Merinita. At Anteret, we were able to speak with a moon oracle, an old elf and we spoke at some length of the otherworlds and and the gods.

Riogain (vicious!) -> Raven Goddess -> Tyaa.

The oracle told me one day I would have to choose. I think that's probably true. I know Tyaa has a lot invested in me. Her eyes are on me. I wonder if she would mind if I called her Riogain. I like that name better. It's older. But... might be kind of vicious. The Oracle of the Moon said that this goddess was not truly chaotic. She might be the most interested in Order, might be one who sacrificed more than any to make sure the natural order of this mortal world was followed. It might be true, but then what does that mean for me? Can someone like me, who values personal freedoms so highly, revere such a goddess above all? If I choose a goddess to revere, must I give up Mara? For that is a sacrifice too far.

On the way, Lily was able to convince her servitor to tame the storm enough to allow us past. Then at the lunar eclipse, Typhon was confronted with the consequence of removing the curse, but remained unswayed. And then Jocelyn began shifting to male -- but then she put on the curse belt of gender change! I remembered a little too late I was going to wait about 200 feet east of this place. Oh well. Point it, it worked! The curse is undone. The power that went into it? Back to the evil bitch goddess it came from, all nice and quiet.

To Do:
Get Leomunds Hut (level 2 spell) from the Wizards Guild. (Ritual).

Food for Thoughts
I feel good about this little adventure. It went well. Really well. Even more, this morning new power awakened in the deepest corners of my being. It is both power I recognize as my own born of Faerie, and that sent to me by my most ancient of Mothers. More than ever in my life, I feel like I can survive anything. And become whatever I need to be.
