1st Judicday of High Autumn, Second Age 1853:

The Neighbors

by Isenara Eiryant

3rd Brahmarusday of Rising Autumn, Second Age 1853:
Waiting for the scouts' return proved beneficial. They have returned todya, which was just enough time for me to finally complete the reverse engineering of the formula from those crystal shards we found in the bomb. It was a complex puzzle, but now, I've unlocked a new potential weapon in our arsenal.

1st Judicday of High Autumn, Second Age 1853:
These past twenty days, have been a blend of quiet and tension. Malakar led a group to the shadow elf city to open lines of dialogue, while I stayed behind, weaving an intricate web of information for Lady Aria. My days were spent in the shadows, cultivating contacts, and gathering whispers from the corners of our realm. On the 5th Brahmarusday, Emissary Galdirion arrived unexpectedly, his presence a harbinger of potential alliances or conflicts. He sought Lady Aria to discuss cooperation in dealing with the aftermath of a shipwreck that unleashed undead and potentially with the shadow elves' situation.

Lady Aria returned from Forna Vassar two days after the ambassador's arrival and just as the group from the shadow elf city came back, their reports painting a grim picture of a city built on slavery, with chains binding not just the newly captured moon elves but also those from generations past. The ambassador from Eglasil came to an arrangement with Lady Aria and we began to make provisions for the moon elves to find sanctuary here before they continue their journey upriver, chasing after a summer elf known for practicing blood magic. It's a delicate balance, offering aid while preparing for whatever implications this might bring to our doorstep. This revelations put doubt in our mind about how, if at all, the neighboring shadow elves were involved in the undead attack. Their nature and habits being the obvious first place to look, but uniqueness of the situation about a summer elf using blood magic, and possibly using it as cover for his escape deep inland cannot be ignored.

Now, with the ambassador, we're to travel to the moon elf city. We only have one ship, so this will be an opportunity to gather intelligence that could prove vital to our future strategies. The road ahead is uncertain, filled with the promise of knowledge and the peril of conflict.
