Planar Battles

Welp, that was a battle. It started with Hex demanding we send Clarissa out on a longboat alone. At first I tried to don Clarissa's dress, but apparently my horns, fins, and tail did not mesh well with the dress. Then we tried to get the new human cleric, Astrid, to try and wear the dress...and to be frank, I don't think that worked much better. I don't think Astrid has that natural womanly wiles. Though I shouldn't poke too much fun at her, she saved my tail, more about that in a second though. We sent Astrid out in the longboat, Zephyrion took to the sky, and Arves and I dove into the ocean. Boy was that a mistake. There was a storm giant down below who pretty much told us to scram. He definitely wasn't someone to be trifled with, so now the plan was Fannik would carry me, Arves, and Vox.
 
The moment we took flight, Hex opened fire and the storm giant rose out of the water. It was on, no element of surprise, just pure fisticuffs. At that point, Obaji and crew returned fire...and boy are they bad shots. They couldn't hit the storm giant who literally covered every port hole the cannons were facing out. I taught them common...I ain't stressing about teaching them to shoot. Anyways, Zephyrion grabbed Astrid, Fannik threw the rest of us aboard then turned about to deal with his racial brethren.
 
After we boarded, Hex immediately took us to the plane of water and albeit pretty, sucks when they have ample domain knowledge to fight back with. I nearly lost my life. Twice. I really gotta learn how to stay out of danger while duking it out. Alas though we conquered the ship and were teleported back to our natural plane of existence...but in a lake....with an ominous cave in front of us. That cave though has statues of merfolk in front of it. I must enter and learn more about my ancestors. I don't care of Loch has hold on it.
