Battle Between Gods

by Corellia Emberfin

As we rested after our weary batter against Hex, I arose to find that my neckalce had gone missing. Lost in a shroud, I searched for my necklace all across the ship. What probably should have caught me odd in the moment is I didn't see anyone else aboard. I ended up finding my necklace afloat at the bow of the ship, but when I reached for it I was suddenly thrown into a spiral through depths, chaos, hurt, and peace. All a bunch of feelings with vague visions until I found myself deep beneath the water suddenly gasping for air. This was it, death was imminent, until...

I heard two voices call forth for me, both offering me a chance at life, but in order to live, I must vow my allegiance to them. First was Eadro, who offered me peace. I've known him my whole life, but never has he answered a prayer of mine and granted me the ability to breathe beneath the waters and join my mother. The other voice was that of Loch. Loch offered me power, power which I assumed would allow me to follow my dreams and live with my mom in Culloden, her home deep beneath the surface. I don't know if it was my naivety, feeling abandoned by Eadro, or because I was gasping for breath and staring death in the face...but I reached out for Loch. Immediately after I chose Loch, my body was propelled to the surface where Obaji drug me out of the water. I coughed and coughed and coughed as water had entirely filled my lungs. As I came to though, I found myself imbued with power. Great power. Alas, I could summon forth tentacles, cast spells, and finally, breathe underwater. I can do it. I can live with mom again all thanks to Loch.

Of course Eadro was not so pleased and decided the first time he would intervene in my life was to curse. You know what? Screw him. At least Loch has embraced me and given me what I longed for...hopefully it won't come at too much of a cost though. Only one way to find out though, push forward and see where this servitude leads me.

Until next time.

May Loch's storms bring you peaceful slumber
