Entry 5 - Goblins, Hellhounds, and Devils.

by Ashe

Well, we made our way out. Conrad and I stayed at the back to watch over Fletcher while Yitoshk and Olo led us. They ARE the two strongest, so it made sense for them to be leading. We stopped when we came across a road block, and two goblins bickering. Yitoshk approached them to try and solve whatever issues they have with diplomacy. Something didn't seem right so I looked around and saw a strange figure up ahead. I could only assume it was an ambush, and I was right. When Yitoshk's diplomacy didn't really work, I ran ahead and alerted him that I think we might be in an ambush, the goblins admitted to having an "angry lady" tied up. Of course, Yitoshk demanded we speak to her, but when she was untied and began approaching with her greatsword drawn, Yitoshk drew his weapon and that sent her into a rage. The two began to duke it out, while the goblins sat back smugly and watched. I took aim and demanded an explanation, but in typical goblin fashion, all it did was smirk and say "me don't know." I loosed an arrow to show I wasn't messing around, and the goblin whistled and tons more goblins showed up. Called it! Ambush. Thankfully, Olo's kind heart seemed to win the raging girl to our side... for a bit, at least.

She helped us slay the goblins, before turning on Yitoshk again. Olo, however, was the one to take him down. More to stop the fighting. I have to admit, Olo's big heart really warms mine! Anyway, after everyone was settled down, the girl explained she was travelling with her own group before being captured by the goblins. And HER group has Fletcher's bride! What a co-inky-dink. Cade hurried around to heal up the goblins that were dying but "intact." Little guy has a heart of gold, even if he's naive. Conrad and I looted the carriages and found some gold, scimitars, and poisoned arrows. After that, we decided to head north and make camp, taking the tied-up goblins with us. Cade's metal mutt kept watch, but not very well, because come morning, one of the goblins escaped and bashed the others skull in. Charming. Oh, and Fletcher shared a tent with me. Feel like I should definitely point that out.

<the next page is a drawing of a slightly older Fletcher, in nothing but his underwear, far more muscular, posing promiscuously>

We made our way down Norklif Road, keeping what the girl told us in mind. She said there were soldiers patrolling, who seemed hostile. We assumed it might be rebels who didn't like the Kings new peace treaty. And we were right. When we made our way to the Mines she told us about, Conrad and I split off to spy on a small contingency force we saw. And sure enough- the nobles just aren't happy. They want bloodshed. Fucking Laelon. At least the King is trying to do right, but it's those backwards-ass mage-haters. I wish we could just... actually, no. Laelon is still my... well, sort of my home. Anyway! We met back up with the others and ended up meeting another Acolyte, who demanded we give him Fletcher. He seemed oddly confident, and I knew he had some trick up his sleeve. I voiced my concern to Yitoshk, but of course he played it off as nothing. He just assumed it was the exploding upon death thing they do. No, that's not a threat. All of us could survive that from an Acolyte. Of course, they killed the Acolyte and we continued to explore the cave. Well, chase after Cade is more like it. Little shit ran ahead, and what do we find? Hellhounds. A good portion through the battle with them, another foe showed his face. A Chain-Devil, from what Kevin said. Maybe Yitoshk needs to listen to me from now on. The others took a serious hit during this battle. Olo was downed, poor thing, and Conrad got grappled by the Devil's chains. Yitoshk didn't fare too well, either, considering he seemed afraid. Lucky me, shooting from the shadows, I ended up finishing off the monster. We made our way out and to a nearby town, Urdibury. Not the worst place, I've been here before. Well, I've been all over.

I love a good fight, but I'm tired. I'm gonna get some rest, and maybe fuck with Yitoshk in the morning.
