A Testament

"It's happened. The librarian's here, and somehow he managed to shatter the sky in the process. No more prepping, no more waiting. This is our one last shot to protect each other and protect this world. My home. We've all had plans, made plans, had talks, had training, had spars. They all seem kind of small, now that we can see that Library hanging between us, the hallways, and the stars.

"We have the general plan together. Me and a few others will be using the upgraded airship mech to try to slow down the library and cause as much damage as we can. Another group, with Lio among them, is going to try to get a way into that... thing. And one last group, with Midnight among them, is going to try to go in and hopefully wetwork the Librarian to hell and back. We all have a part, and every last member of the crew has their part to do. We'll have to see what's left afterwards."

*A long pause.* "I'm not sure if any of us will make it out of this. If we don't, and the Librarian's listening to this, just imagine me showing you my middle finger as hard as I can. Otherwise... I hope we all make it, but we'll see. That library is bigger than any of us, and this job - keeping Liminal safe - is damn sure bigger than any of us, too. I've said it before, and I stand by it. I work for the Captain... and I work with the crew. I have a job to do, and I have to help them out. No matter what, no matter the cost, you do the damned job. That's how it works. ...right now, that's how it has to work if I want to make sure the Captain... Lio... Caram... Quet... Tsoki..."

"...to make sure any of them can see tomorrow. None of the crew's stories are going to end tomorrow. Not if I can help it, at least."

*a sigh* "Big 'if', I imagine. Good thing nobody listens to these. Can't show your sweat and expect to get anything done."
