Myoden 30 - Session XXI

A Note to Knight Urope

by Soren

While pursuing another objective, we uncovered a nest of more Void cultists - specifically the Ashek family. I'm sure you've heard the news out of Quellor, know that while we were involved, the scuttling of the the Ashek compund was NOT our doing - they did it themselves and are using us as scapegoats (though I can't deny we were there uninvited). Our investigation involves the recovery of artifacts at the behest of Je'sarai currently occupying the Temple of Eedit on Devaron. What I seek from you is your insights into my current path - an unusual ask from myself, but I believe that you are one of the few Jedi who has the breadth of experience and insight to appreciate what I currently deal with. As a sentinel you often have to get your hands dirty, and despite the normal rules of engagement written in The Jedi Path sentinels find themselves adding a small measure of darkness to the universe. How does one keep that specific darkness from infecting them? I've had no issues handling anything coming out of the various darkness-laden Sith dungeons (with an exception I'll detail), but the clandestine skulking this type of adventure I'm currently on has proved more challenging than expected. What sort of techniques and practiced can be used to mitigate this particular difficulty?

The other concern - while in the Zhar complex one of the crew one of my crewmates may have been afflicted with an unnatural dark power. I had believed it to be under control and mending itself through events I detailed previously, but recents events have cause me to reconsider. I'm not comfortable sharing more with you at this juncture, but I hope you'll appreciate what I'm sharing now.

PS - As a token of good faith, I'm including a small gift - a talisman I crafted in the ancient je'daii style that will keep you safe from various kinds of harm.
(included is a seemingly simple necklace, identical to the one soren wears. Its simple design is anything but - a closer inspection reveals the measurements and angles to be meticulously set, and when viewed from the correct perspective forms the Sigil of the Je'daii Order. A force sensitive wearing it can feel the light side energy flowing from the surrounding universe through the pendant and around themselves)
