Indiana Bones and the Crystal Skull

We got ourselves in gear inside the sealed doors. Then whispers started and Quinn translated them as a vague threat of overrunning the area with webs or something. The area was fairly foggy with small spiders absolutely everywhere. I don't think I can squish them due to this diplomacy with the elf-spider, but they seem to avoid our steps so I guess that works out. Quinn does mention us not to fall in battle lest we end up food... We started into the cave me up ahead with the torch and so I could direct through the widest tunnel on the map... a large spider skittered by and the smaller ones started to walk in lines. I wanted to move on, I really did.
A splash happened in the little flooded part of the crypt. Then more of the weird language came through, they finally said that it is called undercommon. They started chatting as I kept watch and Blu looked at cat sized hole with webbing all around them. A rock hit ZZ and I readied myself, but Alroy said to douse the torch. Dang light sensitive creatures. I pocketed my Everburning and pulled out one of the darklights. Quinn started doing his thing talking to the thing trying to negotiate our passage. The creature stepped out It was 9.5ft tall and had 6 arms and a Frestine crystal skull. My recollection with what the casters said is that this is our target for the village. Well, Quinn said that it smelled the brain thing that Alroy had and that it's kind took it's lord's head. Cat sized spiders started to come out of the wall holes and I was so close to squishing... I guess that if we couldn't help them we'd be food. IT waved it's hand in the darklight torch I had and Quinn translated that it thought that it was pleasant. Then it standing jumped right over me leading us further. Alroy said that the mayor also smelled like these brains according to the creature. I guess that he wasn't hostile and had no reason to lie. Blu and I are going to have to give the mayor a once over when we get back.
We ended up in the next room and I guess some of the other's magic senses went off. They kept investigating a wall. ALroy said something about them putting him here and this has historical significance with the Lord of Eden. If I remember from history classes that's the crazy elf that started the old war massacres. Alroy wants to help this creature. I think that it prompted one of us to start talking in Sylvan and the creature didn't like that. They had me lift some coffin lids off to look for a switch. They had a bunch of elven esk bodies with various valuables. I've not much interest in grave robbing myself. Rose being Rose, Slammed the wall with her hammer. All she really found was dirt behind brick. Alroy grabbed my had and activated some magics not really sure what's happening.
I started to get a little bored and agitated with this sitting in a cave. The creature looked the same, so I offered it part of a ration some food always helps and Alroy did mention that it was looking for some earlier. Well, I guess it felt similar to me and decided to latch it's vertical zipper mouth over my entire hand. I wasn't sure what exactly was going on so I took a defensive stance as Alroy said to protect the others. The creature hit me pretty good and spewed webbing allover me as a bunch of the little spiders started to gnaw on me. I held myself until Alroy gave the word, then I ripped into it with ZZ and Quinn's boost. I go for another but whiff as the web that I was in suddenly wasn't. IT jumped and latched to the ceiling and I reached up to slam it down only to be met with teeth. It did hop behind Alroy only to be met with Rose. It was over pretty quick and looked like Blu even had her own scuffle with the cat sized spiders. She was munching on one. Not the worst in dire situations, but not my preference. I decided to work out some frustrations on the thing's corpse. Rose picked up the crystal skull and looked at a majority of us a little funny. she also looked at the wall she hit with a weird expression.
Alroy being Alroy decided that we were going to help the elf-spiders and clean this crypt from the brain things. I guess it's also in the interest of the wall with these intelligent creatures. I think that we should get this skull out to the mayor then come back, but it's quite a ways...
