Seventh Entry, continues
The day of the attack was here, as nervous as I was, I understood what was at stake and what had to be done. Zy came into my room with Syrus, time to observe the market and potentially buy some things.
Nothing caught my eye unlike Zy, buying everything left right and center. Syrus offered to pay for a lot of our stuff, which made me feel kinda bad after accusing him of suspicion resulting in us holding a KNIFE to his throat!! Not going to lie, I was very confused the entire time. bygones be bygones I guess. I wonder how the others at the Phrat'ii camp were holding up, hope they were still alive.
I knew the Solen were corrupt, they were not better than the Phrat'ii, planning on harvesting the dragons soul and placing it in one of their soldiers, not on our watch, so I suggested we steal it. The perfect distraction arose, the war had started, excellent timing.
Zy and I infiltrated the temple, we managed to get through with no troubles somehow. Zy cast illusion on the egg so they wouldn't notice it was gone, I ran behind and grabbed it. It was light, and warm, so full of life. I felt a connection, an urge, to protect it with my life, and that I shall.
We reunited with the others outside the temple, they had engaged with Kum, they were after the egg. My egg. we weren't strong enough compared to him. Lucid was slashed badly, we had to escape, there was no chance of us winning especially with him down. Master Nakah opened a portal to the druids, we took Lucid and retreated. My tainted thoughts ran wild, I hoped that both sides destroyed the other.
The female Phrat'ii had snuck through with us. She said there was a way to heal his wounds Which were too much for the druids to heal,
Our only options, let him die or give him a soul through Phrat'ii magic.
I didn't want him to die, but something about this felt so wrong, I could tell the others felt it too. Especially Gurval and Arthom.
