He was going to be the next High General. He's mastered 463 different combat skills both in hand-to-hand combat, and also various weapons, but is most proficient and comfortable with his Fae sword.

Personal history

He was the son of a high ranking lord, a place that allowed him the right to train with the best the Otherworld had to offer and he could have had any path he wanted. Will was always a trained solider and so the path of knighthood was an easy choice.
 
When the Shadow War hit the day of his first patrol, he wasn't able to save everyone. Really the only person he could save was Gael and that was only because he had been forced to arrest him for possession of hoblogin wood. In the end, the city was practically razed to the ground, it's inhabitants either soul-less or slaughtered. Will's parents had been Soul Reaped, his fiance hadn't been so lucky.

Education

He trained under the High Lieutenant for decades before passing the test into full knighthood.

Employment

He was a Royal Knight, but now he has an unofficial status as a Robbin Hood sort of figure in the Outskirts.
