CXXIV. Playing Politics
General Summary
When Lady Kohinoor heard that Regen Wakerock by himself, she requested to accompany the Ring & Wren when they left to join him.
While the party waited a week to hear back from Regen, Guiomar volunteered to leave town to recruit allies. Before he left, he passed the Sun Sword on to Jäger and the Sixth Shard of the Astral Diamond to King. With Dhor's forces seven weeks from attacking Felstadt, the party called a meeting with their nearby friends and began assembling forces for the fight to come.

During the week, King sent word to the Crimson Guard to muster soldiers from the
Empire. The party initiated an operation to try and interrupt Dhor's communication line, but it was unsuccessful. Before they left, Lady Kohi also sent word to her
mother in the
Singing Wood and to an old ally,
Vy'Thek in Hill Giant country to try and draft some additional units.
In the meantime, several of the group's businesses finished construction, including the
King's Court. For its inaugural bout, King challenged Jäger and promptly had his ass handed to him. He, however was a good sport about it and presented Jäger with a golden medal for his victory. The medal was hung in
The Ring and Wren. The King's Court was able to cover its own expenses for its first week of business.
During this time, Jäger received a special delivery of
Eldingite bracers from
Acheron. He asked the smith about the possibility of calling his hammer back to him when he met
Roak again; Acheron told him that it was designed to respond to his own call, but that it would be very difficult for a mortal to pull off the same feat.
Lastly, the party made preparations to resurrect Krux McClain, gathering a total of twenty-one diamonds for the ritual.
