General Summary

• The party, lead by Dax' Athla , ascends the winding path to the Cathedral of the Flame in Flamekeep.
• Waiting for them inside was Drego Sarhain, who expressed that he was pleasantly surprised they actually came! He'll take Dax to the Keeper, but she'll need to leave her weapons behind, as well as her friends.
• Dax hands over her weapons to the rest of the party, and Drego leads her off into the side corridors of the cathedral.
• While wandering, looking for the keeper, Dax and Drego run into Skaravojen, who a little girl is playing fetch with.
• The little girl is in fact Jaela Daran, the Keeper of the Flame!
• There is some discussion about demonic possession, but Jaela doesn't know enough to help right now. She suggests they go and speak to the Flame!
• Jaela leads Dax by the hand through the nave and into the Chamber of the Silver Flame. Warden and Kalshana notice this, but Lozaal isn't paying attention.
• Dax has a harrowing experience with the Silver Flame. Proximity to it makes her nauseous and it is a mental struggle to actually approach. She is unable to get as close to it as Jaela does, and Jaela doesn't notice her discomfort while she communes with the Voice of the Flame.
• While this is happening, Warden and Kal approach Drego, who is outside of the chamber. He explains who the little girl is and gives some background on the Keeper of the Flame.
• This conversation is interrupted by High Cardinal Krozen, who didn't approve this meeting with the Keeper! In fact, when Drego mentioned it, Krozen outright refused it.
• Drego argues that, technically, the Keeper of the Flame outranks the High Cardinal, and when he casually dropped that he had a lizard friend that was struggling with a demon, well, Jaela wanted to see them!
• Drego was simply doing his duty, both as a patriot and a follower of the Silver Flame, to see the will of the Keeper done.
• High Cardinal Krozen is concerned about assassination attempts on Jaela, and Warden does nothing to alleviate this fear by adding that, if they wanted to kill Jaela, the church wouldn't be able to stop them.
• The church tries to stop them.
• Jaela notices Dax's discomfort after she communes with the Voice, and leads Dax out of the room before discussing things further.
• Jaela and Dax emerge from the Chamber of the Flame into the rising tension between Drego, Warden, Kal and the High Cardinal. They are surrounded by templars!
• Jaela and Dax diffuse the situation, and Krozen storms out of the room.
• Jaela informs Dax that she is very, very possessed. Regular exorcism won't work, but the Voice told Jaela about an artifact that Tira Miron's party recovered in the Year of Blood and Fire; The Sacred Bell of Saint Cassia.
• The only problem is, they don't know where the Bell is, Saint Cassia hid it, stating that it would appear when it was needed most.
• Drego asks Dax if she'd considered his offer, and there is some discussion. Dax is concerned about her reaction to the Flame, but Jaela states that the flame is a prison for fiends, and better channelling it might improve Dax's ability to suppress the demon.
• Dax accepts the offer, she will train to become a Silver Pyromancer!
• The group discusses what to do about the job for Clifftop Adventurer's Guild. They decide that Dax's training is more important, so they won't be taking this job.
• Downtime begins!

• Dax receives religious education, is inducted into the Order of the Radiant Flame and becomes a Silver Pyromancer. She is now an Initiate of the Seventh Circle.
• Warden works as a herbalist for 4 weeks, and earns 50 gp on top of lifestyle expenses.
• Kalshana spends 1 week creating a psicrystal, imbuing it with her creativity. Their name is Ode and they are genderless. She then spends 2 weeks working and earns 25 gp, and 1 week carousing. While carousing, she makes no new contacts.
• Lozaal tells stories and otherwise tries to gather information. He learns about the story of Saint Cassia and the Sacred Bell.

• Dax is now a wizard!
• Drego wants her to go and adventure some more, go out into the world and exercise her power. Try and find the Bell, and a Khyber Shard to rebind the demon.
• They decide to go to Danthaven, as it's the village mentioned in the story about the Bell.
• From there, they want to detour through Aundair on their way down to the Greenhaunt to acquire some Goodberry Wine. From there, to the Mournland!
