39. Return to Overlook Report

General Summary

14th Dravago, 998 YK

• Geth suggests that someone needs to warn the Gatekeepers about the Binding Stones. Ekhaas goes.
• They get in the back of Kosaten's wagon, and begin the journey to Sharn.
• Singe asks Terfel if he had any spare cloth to make Ashi a headscarf or something to hide her face.
• Terfel makes her a hooded cloak and a veil.
• Kalshana  and Dax' Athla  had a heart to heart in the wagon.

• Kosaten's wagon arrives outside of Wroann's Gate in Sharn just before 4am on the 15th of Dravago, 6 hours after leaving Tzaryan Keep.
• They finish the long rest, Kosaten walks off into the distance. They send Nova (Warden's familiar) in the form of a raven up to Overlook, but they return after seeing Herons.
• They send Nova to look for Lhara but they don't seem to find her.
• Terfel and Natrac go down to Malleon's Gate. Terfel was going to look for Cavallah and Natrac was going to plumb his contacts in the Sharn underworld.
• Ashi and Singe are going to go to a House Deneith enclave and see if they can find anything there, and also to give Ashi a chance to see the house.
• The rest of the group went up to Overlook to warn the kalashtar.
• Terfel asked around and got mixed reactions, eventually being approached by Rhazala, a little goblin girl. She offered to take him to Cavallah for some coins.
• Terfel paid, and Rhazala revealed she couldn't actually take him to Cavallah, but could take him to "Old Stone Eye", who could get him to Cavallah.
• Rhazala led him to an abandoned inn that had been converted into some kind of headquarters. He memorised the sequence of knocks on the door.
• Rhazala led him through the Daask safehouse to a shrine to the Dark Six, where she introduced him to Kasslak, a medusa.
• Kasslak questioned Terfel's intentioned, but they came to an agreement and Kasslak organised a meeting with Cavallah at Shamukaar in Khyber's Gate at 7pm.
• The rest of the party went to Overlook and found Nevchaned. Kalshana explained what was up and he called a meeting of the elders.
• The kalashtar were disturbed by what they heard. Selkatari suggested killing the herons. Hanamelk suggested this would only alert Dah'mir, and that the herons should be deceived. Shelsatari suggested getting the children to throw rocks at the birds.
• The kalashtar were also disturbed by Dandra and what she meant. It raised a morale and ethical question around the use of psicrystals, which isn't their priority at the moment but will be revisited later.
• Havakhad revealed that there are other dragons in Sharn, and that this might make Dah'mir more cautious.
• The party members were asked to leave while the elders deliberated over what to do.
• This stressed Dax out a lot, why weren't they acting!?
• Terfel found a wanted poster for Natrac. Apparently he has done many crimes.
• Terfel went up to Clifftop and found Lhara. He explained the situation and she was very concerned, but they don't have any teams in the city at the moment. They got Terfel fitted with plate armour and then made their way to Overlook.
• Lhara lives in Overlook! with her wife! A kalashtar named Melikavash
• Singe and Ashi also return from Dragon Towers. Apparently Singe is now wanted by the House for desertion. Oh the irony!
• The party interrupt the debate in the Gathering Light and re-iterate the urgency of the situation. The elders agree to kill the herons and blind the dragon.
• Kalashtar will hide and secure their buildings in Overlook, and many will also secure the Gathering Light.
• Havakhad scries on Dah'mir, and reveals that the dragon's presence is effective through scrying. He did see that Dah'mir was currently in the form of a heron, and seems to be in the lower levels of the city.
• Terfel begins heading down to Khyber's Gate to meet with Cavallah. On the way, in Malleon's Gate, he runs into "Natrac".
• It's not Natrac though, it's a changeling. Turns out a bunch of them are wearing his face, it's just a prank bro.
• Terfel pays the changeling to wear Terfel's face, and to get his friends to as well, and walk around the lower levels. Oh no!
• Terfel arrives at Shamukaar early.
