64. Arrow Storm and the Sea Report

General Summary

6th Nymm, 999 YK

They make preparations to go into the Mournland again, on their longest journey yet. They mostly sell stuff.
They head out into the Mournland on a journey to Kalazart.
During the day, they encounter a hulking figure in the mist. Zedd gets a closer look and sees a giant warforged-like construct, covered in spikes and sticking corpses to itself. Unlike the Carcass Crab, the corpses animate when they stick to it.
They choose to mind their business and leave it alone. Wise.
During the night, Kalshana dreams of the lighthouse. She casts Guiding Bolt at it, and the lighthouse looks at her.

7th Nymm, 999 YK

The day is mostly uneventful, but they spend 3 hours sheltering from an arrow storm. That is, it rained arrows from the sky for three hours.
The farmhouse they sheltered in was pristine, as if the family who lived there had just got up and left mid-meal.
Kalshana eats the food, it's cold.
During the night, Kal dreams of the lighthouse again. She attempts to mind link with the lighthouse, and is overcome by the emotions of many beings. Fear, confusion, fear. It overwhelms her and she wakes up.

8th Nymm, 999 YK

They encounter a coral reef above ground, like someone had taken a segment of the seafloor and displaced it into the Mournland. There are even fish, and bubbles rising from the sea anemones and other ocean life.
There's no water, though. No one told the fish that.
Lozaal's homunculus notices sharks, too.
They go around the coral reef.
Kal has a different dream! She dreams of the Day of Mourning. She was there, in Seaside, and got swept up in the crowd fleeing the mists. She saw another Kalashtar at the lighthouse, ushering people inside to shelter them. She awoke as the mists overtook her.

9th Nymm, 999 YK

They finally arrive at Kalazart, and the Fireweave Bazaar.
Zedd notices a warforged titan in the ruins of the city. There are other warforged darting about, going about their business. Kalazart's occupation by the Lord of Blades is seemingly confirmed.
They enter the Fireweave Bazaar, leaving Zedd outside to keep watch.
They find a map of the bazaar, mostly rotted. Some of the shop names are still legible however, and someone has crossed some of them out.
They try to enter Dragon's Hoard, which was marked with a "?" on the map. They get the feeling they should leave and they don't push the issue.
Opposite Dragon's Hoard is "Carpet Realm". They can see through the window there is a corpse inside.
They identify the corpse as Kahlia Murphy, one of the Silk Arrows. They are unable to determine cause of death.
Warden tries to remove the corpse, and gets attacked by a rug. Oh shit.
