Knightfall

Premise

It is the 1st of Sowing, winter will soon give way to spring and with it comes the mustering of troops and the continuation of the Thronewar. During the War the Baronny of Skalen was conquered by the Grand Duchy of Uthyr. Thanks to this feat it's conqueror: Baron Varsili Corhall, became the lord of Timar County, while Duchess Timar sat upon the Uthyr throne.   Strangely enough the former Baron and Baroness Ludwen and Jaquelina were not taken captive and ransomed, but were slain alongside all that stood against Lord Corhall. Their bodies alongside with everyone else that stood against the new regents still decorate the center of the Skalen township in order to quell dissenters. Both regents were well liked individuals that frequently organized hunting forays into the Steinarwald to quell any dangers. The regency of the region now falls to Baron Ilar and Baroness Delora Geier, who care more about the war effort than the well-being of their subjects.  

Practical Info

You have arrived in Oxbury, responding to a call for aid from a local hunter named Gustaff of Oxbury. While the war affected each and every one of you in some way, it also brought you together in order to complete otherwise impossible goals and form your current adventuring band.   The game starts at lvl 2, any neutral or good alignments   You have a bond with two of your fellow player characters as well as a bond of some variety to the Baronny of Skalen and it's people. As such it is likely, though not required, that you are born in Skalen and have little love for your neighbors turned conqueror.   The game will start of as standard DND but will eventually become more focused on Urban adventures lined with mystery, intrigue and will further delve into the motivations behind the war and the current events.
